A gate leading to a backstage area that has been used to house a physically-distanced queue for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is now blocked off with a themed scrim at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
While yesterday we assumed that this area was being worked on since it is regularly used as overflow queue, we have since been informed that this is likely where the transportation from the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel will be dropping off and picking up guests when it opens in the not-too-distant future.
With immersive transport vehicles (heavily modified buses), the Galactic Starcruiser experience will leave guests immersed while they travel to the park, which would mean that this docking station to the left of First Order Cargo will need to be modified to provide a seamless arrival experience that makes guests feel like they have actually arrived on Batuu.
The scrim is intricately detailed and had us doing a double-take that these weren’t actual doors.
Disney had originally stated that the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser would open in 2021, but has gone silent on the matter as of late.

Interesting. I want to know how they plan on keeping the starcruiser passengers from wandering into Andy’s backyard.
no worries there, with modern mind control people will believe almost anything.
