Despite the announcement yesterday that maskless photography would be permitted starting on April 8th, Disney’s PhotoPass photographers allowed (and encouraged) guests to remove their masks this morning. Until now, photographers were enforcing the COVID-19 safety protocol of wearing masks even while taking photographs.
Signs are still up with the official guidelines requiring masks to be worn when taking photographs. However, PhotoPass photographers were actively asking guests to remove masks for photos.
Three of the signs are visible in this photo. In the center, a couple takes photos without masks on.
However, we found PhotoPass photographers around Cinderella Castle allowing guests to remove their masks.
It wasn’t a one-off occurrence, either. Several photographers in different locations were all allowing mask removal.
It is unclear if this is an official property-wide decision.

Oh, gee, thank you Disney, for allowing me my freedom and civil liberty for a mere 30 seconds, and 1 day early at that!
How, exactly is wearing a mask infringing on your āfreedom and civil libertyā? Oh…thatās right, itās not. Hereās an option…donāt like the rules…donāt go. It really is as simple as that.
There is no way my 2 year old will wear a mask oh well save my money
So you enjoy being a puppet I suppose…….well not all of us do..
Thank You ,It really is that simple… don’t like the rules , don’t go!! Maybe less people will go and the lines will be shorter for people like me and you!!!
