Following the installation of the final turret-cap decoration on Cinderella Castle just yesterday, Zach Riddley of Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the process of placing these 50th-anniversary adornments on top of the Walt Disney World icon.
A large crane carries the ribbon decoration while someone atop a green high-reach guides it down onto the turret, ensuring it gets placed safely.
It’s no fairytale that these ribbons fit just like a glass slipper as Walt Disney Imagineers digitally modeled each turret on Cinderella Castle to achieve this perfect fit. You can watch the video posted by Zach Riddley below.
