The final golden turret decoration has been installed on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom.
The castle is being decorated for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” honoring the park’s 50th anniversary.
After the first level of turret caps was installed, decorating went vertical to the second level.
The final turret cap is on the castle’s east side.
Like all of the other ribbon decor, it is gold with a hint of pink, and spirals around the turret towards the sky.
Though a few small turrets—including the castle’s tallest blue turret—have not been decorated, it seems that they will remain bare according to concept art.
The already golden tower will also remain bare. All that seems to remain is the 50th anniversary logo on the front of the castle, though that may not be installed until closer to October 1.
This final turret cap is the only one that can be seen from all sides of the castle.
Before turret decorating began, all of the roofing was repainted back to royal blue after the paint had faded.
The bunting surrounding Cinderella Castle’s first level is blue, gold, and pink, to match the castle’s new color scheme. The jewels added to the front of the castle were also blue and gold.
The golden ribbons shine in the sunlight, creating a magical view for all who come to this happy place.
