Disney has announced more details about the AquaMouse, an attraction aboard the Disney Wish cruise ship. The Disney Wish will take to the sea in 2022, and general booking for voyages begins on May 27th. While other Disney Cruise Line ships have water slides, the AquaMouse is being billed as “The First Disney Attraction at Sea.”
The AquaMouse will take families through a special “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” short unique to the attraction called “Scuba Scramble.” When you board the AquaMouse, you will be joining a seaside excursion from Mickey & Minnie’s Port Misadventures on an undersea journey to Mermaid Lagoon.
The ride vehicles seat two and will take you through 760 feet of tubes, including enclosed portions, dark tunnels, and breathtaking ocean views, above the upper decks of the Wish. The AquaMouse boasts over 60 water effects, show scenes, lighting, and special effects, speed blasters, a loop over the ocean, and an original score composed by the Emmy-nominated Christopher Willis, who also composes the score for “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” shorts.
