Hey there, hi there, ho there! We’re back at Disneyland Resort for the 3rd day of park reopenings at Disneyland Resort. Join us as we visit both parks today and see the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure process, reusable cutlery, distanced character meet & greets, Avengers Campus updates, and more!
Mickey and Friends Parking Structure Process
We arrived at Mickey and Friends Parking Structure at 7:40 AM. The entry line took about 20 minutes. The structure is supposed to open 30 minutes before reopening (8:30 AM) but has been opening up earlier all week. Park hours are 9 AM to 7 PM.
The screens leading up to the booths remind guests that park reservations are necessary to enter the parks. Parking currently costs $25.
Cars are no longer being distanced in the parking structure. At “A Touch of Disney,” there was one space between each vehicle.
There was no wait for temperature screening. It seems very quiet at the security checkpoint; our process was a breeze.
More reservation reminders are posted as you walk towards security.
After you pass through temperature screenings and security checks, you start your journey to the parks on the tram route. No trams are available at this time so you must walk.
Three lines formed right before the Downtown Disney Tram Loading Station. Guests stay stationed here until there is enough room in the Esplanade. We waited about 45 minutes from this point until we made it to the parks at 9:00 AM.
We made it!
Disneyland Park
First stop, Snow White’s Enchanted Wish. The line was about 20 minutes.
If you haven’t, watch our full ride POV here! You don’t want to miss out on this one.

Princess Tiana waved down from a balcony in New Orleans Square.
In the Royal Theater, Princess Aurora and Princess Ariel were meeting with guests at a distance.
Outside the Royal Theater in Fantasy Faire, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider were enjoying the beautiful day back in Disneyland.
Shorty after Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Anna and Elsa made there way to the distanced meet and greet location.
Next stop, Mickey’s Toontown. Take a full ride on Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin after scenes have been refurbished.
Marie was meeting with guests in the gazebo! Don’t mind her backdrop.
Pluto was enjoying an exquisite bone.
Red Rose Tavern has Reopened with a new reusable cutlery. Part of Disney’s Earth Month celebration included the introduction of reusable cutlery. We first shared news of the bamboo utensils in late March.
The three-piece set has now made its debut at Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland Park.
Indoor seating was available. Make sure to read our opening day photo report to see which dining is open in each land.
Disney California Adventure
At 1 PM, we headed out of Disneyland to park hop to Disney California Adventure. If you have a park hopper, that is the earliest time you can switch parks.
Goofy greeted us back for our first time in forever.
In Cars Land, all of the stores remain closed except for Ramone’s House of Body Art.
The first attraction we stopped at was Radiator Springs Racers. At 1:15 PM, Cast Members were informing guests that the ride was down.
Guests started leaving line.
Vehicles sat empty on the track. Sadly, this attraction did not open for the rest of the operating day.
Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters had no wait today.
Keep an eye out for our in-depth article with a full ride video!
Mickey and Minnie were smiling for distanced photos in Carthay Circle.
Sadly, the Hyperion is closed. The sign now states “Welcome back! You were missed!”
Although MARVEL Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure does not open until June 4, 2021, guests can get a hint of some of the new land’s theming elements. One element is in plain sight as a large Avengers sign has been installed near Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! as part of a barrier to separate Avengers Campus and Hollywood Land.
Anyone spot Pluto?
There he is!
Next stop, Incredicoaster. We waited about 5 minutes for this attraction around 2 PM.
Life’s incredible again. You can check out more details from the reopened attraction, along with a full ride video, here!
Señor Buzz Churros is open on Pixar Pier.
No Mr. Potato Head today.
Toy Story Midway Mania! sat at a 40 minute wait for most of the day.
The Pixar Pal-A-Round was very popular today. The swinging gondolas were at a 45-minute wait while the non-swinging gondolas were at 60 minutes.
Lilo has set up her surf boards over in Paradise Gardens!
While the Golden Zephyr remains closed, Jumpin’ Jellyfish is open.
We could not be more excited to welcome Oswald the Lucky Rabbit back to Disney California Adventure. He’s such a high-energy character; it’s great to see him in Carthay Circle.
He was our last stop before 7 PM.
We still have lots to see and do at the parks, so make sure you stay tuned for more coverage of the reopening of Disneyland Resort. Thanks for following along!
