It’s another beautiful day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. We’re getting closer to “normal” around here and today was the first day for several new safety guidelines. Yesterday we discovered that temperature checks would be going away and spotted Team Members adding 3 foot physical distancing stickers around the park in anticipation of today’s policy change. As we arrived at the resort, we walked right from the parking lot to security without temperature checks.
You can see more of the changes around the resort and hear the new safety spiel by checking out our post here.
We made our way over to Revenge of the Mummy first thing this morning. Remember when “fill in all available space” was a thing?
3 foot distancing in lines doesn’t feel much different than before the pandemic.
Face masks are still required, but it’s very hard to enforce the policy when people are waiting in long lines for attractions.
Early Park Admission in Diagon Alley is a beautiful thing.
Peek-A-Boo’s house is still intact at the old A Day in the Park with Barney theater. We could see Team Members in a lift working in the area.
Several attractions have started grouping different parties together and we even found the single rider’s line open at the Incredible Hulk Coaster. You can find out more info in our post here.
More new Mr. DNA merchandise has arrived. This time, we found a new pin. We had to have this for our collection.
VelociCoaster Team Members were out around the pathway that leads to the entrance of the attraction. We were hoping for a soft opening, so we decided to have a little fun with the Team Members while we waited. Stand down!
There was a very brief rain shower while we were in Jurassic Park, but it didn’t last long. At least the Team Members had umbrellas!
We stopped into the Watering Hole in Jurassic Park for some loaded nachos. Bloggers gotta eat, right?
VelociCoaster did not have soft openings today, but Team Members set up barricades leading up towards the entrance. We hope this is a good sign for more technical rehearsals.
