Lately, it seems like there’s been a frenzy of testing as Harmonious continues to move closer to debuting at EPCOT. And while it may not be as visually exciting as all the fountain testing that’s been going on, more flexible screen has been added to the arms of the barges.

On the barge closest to the Mexico Pavilion, the protruding arm has been covered in the same scrim material we have seen on the centerpiece barge.

From a distance, it wouldn’t be unusual to confuse this structure with the Loch Ness Monster (or perhaps a roaming Brontosaurus looking for a new home since Ellen’s Energy Adventure closed).

The material helps to hide the exposed nature of the structure.

We expect to see more of the centerpiece ring and barge arms covered in this material in the coming months.

It’s yet another part of the progress we’ve seen as EPCOT gets ready to debut its new nighttime spectacular. If you want to see even more of this future offering, check out our latest video of water effects testing!
