Walt Disney World officially ended mandatory temperature screenings around the resort on May 15th, following recommendations from the Orange County Department of Health. Now, the process of removing the temporary tent structures that hosted the screenings has begun at the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Cast Members were dismantling the tents and setting up metal barricades to keep guests safely on the sidewalk.
With the reduction of physical distancing and face coverings no longer required outdoors, the temperature screening removal is part of an ongoing series of changes to the COVID-19 safety measures implemented last summer.
