Pizza Predattoria at Universal’s Islands of Adventure doesn’t just sell pizza. The dino-themed restaurant has two new sandwiches now available.
When we visited for our review, the line was out the door, beyond Raptor Encounter.
Looks like the dinosaurs were helping Team Members prepare our meals.
We ordered the Italian and chicken sandwich combos. Read our reviews below.
Loaded Italian Sandwich — $16.99
Ham, capicola, salami, lettuce, tomato, provolone, Italian dressing, aioli
This sandwich was surprisingly good. It was saved by the Italian dressing, which brought all the ingredients together.
The bread was soft. The meats and cheese both tasted good.
The tomatoes looked fresh and bright, which was nice.
We would order this sandwich again, and it might just be the best thing on Pizza Predatorria’s menu.
Both sandwiches came with a small side salad, which we think they should ditch in favor of lowering the price of these meals.
Chicken Pepito Sandwich — $12.99
Marinated pepito chicken, shredded lettuce, plum tomato, mayo ketchup, parmesan cheese, potato sticks
This chicken sandwich was a hard pass.
The chicken itself had a decent taste, but it was like eating a sandwich of lettuce because that’s all we could taste.
It was also difficult to eat, as you can probably tell.
The potato sticks were a nice touch, and the bread was soft, but there was way too much lettuce for us to taste anything else.
We would really suggest skipping Pizza Predattoria entirely and heading to Burger Digs if you’re looking for food in the Jurassic Park area. It was especially difficult to find a table, while Burger Digs usually has openings.
Would you try either of these sandwiches? Let us know in the comments.
