Universal Orlando Resort is constantly tweaking its menus. A new casado burger debuted this week at The Burger Digs in Jurassic Park.

Casado is Spanish for married. Team Members told us that the burger’s name represents a marriage of flavors. Does it live up to its description? Let’s find out.

Casado Burger Platter — $17.49

Costa Rican inspired black angus patty, sweet plantains, avocado, pork belly, garlic mayonnaise on a raptor scored brioche bun; available “protein style” – lettuce instead of buns

The casado burger is not yet available on mobile order. It must be ordered at a register. A Team Member will bring the burger to your table. The casado burger replaced the BBQ burger on the menu.

A “protein style” version is available. That swaps the bun for lettuce.

The platter includes a side of french fries.

The brioche bun has raptor “claw marks” to fit the Jurassic Park theme.

The burger uses a Costa Rican inspired black angus patty. We couldn’t taste a difference between this patty and what is used in other burgers.

The plantains are the star here. They are flavorful and juicy. We liked the touch of sweetness they add to the casado burger. The garlic mayonnaise is creamy — a perfect touch.

Tons of smashed avocado — closer to guacamole, really — and two thick pieces of pork belly top the burger.

The casado burger is truly a perfect marriage of fresh ingredients. It’s a huge sandwich, which makes it a bit hard to eat, but perfect for dinosaur-sized appetites. We highly recommend this newest burger at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
