The Char Siu Combo and Red Bean Ice Float are only available through May 31. We tried out the Red Bean Ice Float.

Red Bean Ice Float – $8.95

This drink is comprised of liquid sugar (like in bubble tea), actual whole red beans, milk (we think), vanilla ice cream, and ice chips.

Because it’s layered, you have to stir it vigorously or you’ll drink straight sugar. But after that, it mixes well, and the beans mix in a little too.

It ends up kind of like red bean ice cream, although we prefer the ice cream’s texture. It’s definitely for the more adventurous palate, and for people who don’t mind chewing their drinks. The beans were a little firm and we would have preferred them softer but didn’t mind that much.

Overall, this float is an interesting experience and a tasty treat. We wouldn’t mind getting it again, but wouldn’t exactly run to get it either. It’s more of an acquired taste.

Limited-time offerings for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month are still available at Disney Springs, and a Moana sand sculpture was completed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
