Some Cast Members No Longer Required to Wear Face Shield at Walt Disney World

When Walt Disney World reopened last year, some Cast Members were required to wear face shields, depending on their position and proximity to guests. This was in addition to the required face masks, and both were provided to Cast Members.

This rule has been rolled back slightly and Cast Members in some outdoor positions are no longer required to wear face shields.

Most attractions Cast Members will still be required to wear face shields as they work in close proximity to guests where physical distancing is not always possible. All Cast Members are still required to wear face masks.

  1. For Heaven’s sake! seriously FOLLOW THE FACTS AND SCIENCE. any germ can’t last longer than 2.5 seconds in Florida heat and humidity. This was studied for years by every reputable lab. What is harmful is sucking moist air thru a mask all day while behind a piece of plastic. I give up. come-on Disney

    • And yet Florida has the most cases in the country every single day. What facts and science are you following?
