As Walt Disney World’s phased reopening continues, a number of changes are happening on a daily basis. Earlier today, the return of nighttime spectaculars was announced, on the same day as indoor mask requirements were majorly loosened at the resort. As part of this process, resort hotels are continuing to reopen as well.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will be reopening on August 26 for all guests. The resort opened its villas for Disney Vacation Club guests last summer, but will now welcome guests to the hotel rooms within the resort as well.
Bookings will open for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge beginning tomorrow, June 16th, 2021. A release time for the reservations has not been specified, so hopeful guests should start checking the Walt Disney World website early in the morning.
At this time, no announcement has been made about the reopening of Jiko or Boma, two popular restaurants located within the lodge.
Elsewhere on property, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn will be reopening July 2nd, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will follow in late July.

Staying in the DVC Jambo Rooms 18-21st. Really hoping we get some kind of soft opening on the restaurants and shops.
