Face coverings will still be required for all Guests on Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and the Disney Skyliner. They will not be required on boats and ferries. While Disney will not require proof of vaccination, they expect Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, as well as when entering and throughout all attractions and transportation. Guests must observe current policies on face coverings until June 15.

Guests were no longer required to wear masks in most outdoor locations as of May 15. They stopped being required at outdoor theaters earlier this month. Physical distancing is also being continually reduced and relaxed.

  1. Awesome! Once fast pass and fireworks are confirmed, we can start looking at booking another trip. Just wish the characters meet and greets could be going for the kids, but i know that might be a while still.

    • A lot of the things like fireworks, epcot monorail and character meet and greets are happening less because of COVID and more just because Disney is waiting for attendance and their number of employees to read a sustainable enough level to make it worth the cost and administration. My guess is we are nearly back to total normal by the 50th!

  2. “Guests must observe…”???? Ya know what Walt never told a (high) paying customer in his entire life!?!?!? What they “must” do! (Other than basic common courtesy) Very glad our Mickey management has woken up and smelled the coffee, but it deeply saddens us WDW lifers that current management can’t bring themselves to do WWWD (What Walt Would Do)…. Simply suggest to guests that it’s important to think of others before yourself, enjoy yourselves and have a great time, but don’t in any way infringe on other’s space/fun/happiness… Let’s be PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE to our own fun and the fun of others! If you want to wear a mask- go for it! If you don’t, that’s cool too.

  3. That is wonderful! We will be travelling in the height of the.heat. While I may still wear a mask when I feel uncomfortable with the situation, I like the option. Standing in line in the Florida sun with a mask was a concern. As a vaccinated person. I like having the option to take it off.

  4. How generous of them to play catch up yet again weeks later. But still can’t release the full hook on the masks on the transportation. As if it makes any difference whatsoever whether you’re wearing a mask on a bus as opposed to standing in line inside an attraction. Absolute nonsense all the way around.

  5. Who really cares? If anyone is masked up and scared, maybe they need to wait before coming.
