Face Shields No Longer Required for Any Cast Members at Walt Disney World

Face shields are no longer required for Walt Disney World Cast Members in any position.

This announcement comes after the news that face masks will no longer be required for fully vaccinated guests beginning June 15.

Select Cast Members were required to wear face shields depending on their job position since the parks reopened last July. A month ago, this requirement began to change for some positions. Cast Members indoors may now wear safety goggles instead of face shields.

  1. This is false. No change has been made for cast members except they can wear goggles in place of shields.

      • My information is straight from the cast hub. No change had been announced to cast as of yet. CAST MEMBERS: We are still evaluating the guidelines for face coverings and physical distancing for Cast Members, and plan to share an update soon. Beginning today, Cast Members may use safety glasses as an option for face shields in indoor locations.

  2. Those face shields were ridiculous, I felt horrible for them having to wear them…for about a minute until I started complaining about my mask again.
