Disney’s Magical Express Now Picking Up Guests 4 Hours Before Their Flight

Disney’s Magical Express Will No Longer Mail Reservation Confirmations as of July 1

As of July 1, Disney’s Magical Express will no longer mail reservation confirmation collateral to guests and travel agents.

Instead, guests will be asked to use MagicBands or Magic Mobile to check in at the Disney’s Magical Express Welcome Center. Guests who do not have either will be checked in by retrieving their reservations manually using their IDs.

This is the current process at the Disney’s Magical Express Welcome Center if a Guest does not have their mailed reservation confirmation collateral.

To reduce the number of guests whose reservations need to be retrieved manually, guests will be encouraged to make their Disney’s Magical Express reservations and provide their round-trip flight information at the time they book their vacation. They will also be encouraged to utilize Magic Mobile, or to bring their Magic Bands with them if they have them from previous vacations.

    • Because those pieces of paper were so incredibly precious to you? Such a ridiculous complaint. They are making a very wise, environmentally responsible decision. Most people used their Magic Bands rather than the paper anyway. This is not a slight or taking away value. Get over your need to whine and stomp your feet about everything.

  1. who cares? cheapact has assured another benefit to disney’s guests has been eliminated. i bet those that come from out of country really appreciate this cheap act.

  2. this is way better… I used to have to go find a stupid piece of paper to get back to the airport after using the magic band for everything all week

  3. Epic miscalculation on Disney to eliminate ME.
Our paperwork for just this May 2021 barely arrived in time.

  4. What? I never showed them the reservation letter since several years back. they just scanned my magic bands and we were good to go. I thought the letter was just a formality left over from the past. Unfortunately, even the magic express is soon going to be a thing of the past. Man, I really, really hate to see the magic express gone, and I don’t even like it that much. It’s just that it is such an icon at the MCO: the moment your airplane lands, you know you’ve arrived. Now that’s no longer true.

  5. It seems everyone better have their phone and an extra portable charger. We pay more to Disney for service, yet it feels more like self checkout at the grocery store. You still have to do some work instead of relaxing and having a host fully take care of you. Restaurants make you blow phone battery power on the QR reader instead of giving you a paper menu. Attractions make you use the QR reader now since the Magic Bands are not activated to capture your attraction photos, instead of the picture automatically showing up in your My Disney Experience. No more keepsake paper resort maps at check in. My kids like to go somewhere and “collect” the brochures from hotels they stay in. Maybe it is too old fashioned but sign of the digital age overtaking everything. Just make sure your portable charger is full and ready to go at the start of your day.
