The construction of new ramps around the Magic Kingdom entrance is well underway as phase two of a project to clear up the park’s traffic continues. Since our last update, there has been some significant progress, with the new overpass ramps starting to take shape.
Permits were filed in September 2020 for this portion of roadwork, which includes the extension and realignment of World Drive.
These ramps will eventually connect World Drive and Bear Island Road, crossing in front of Magic Kingdom.
Two sets of support columns are now connected by the ramp structure.
Wooden platforms around the ramp are temporary platforms for crew members.
The second set of ramps will directly connect the Car Care Center to Magic Kingdom parking.
