It’s the summer of Stitch at the Disney Parks as the experiment continues to pop up all over the place in different forms. Today Stitch takes on a new dessert inside Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Capt. Cook’s just before June 26th (or 626, Stitch’s experiment number).
Stitch Dome Cake – $5.99
Milk Chocolate Cake with White Chocolate Glaze, Vanilla Buttercream, and White Chocolate Stitch Ears.

The ugly duckling is decorated on the side showing Stitch a bit of love.

At first the taste is almost overwhelming with all the different flavors hitting you at once.

The fondant is incredibly soft and not chewy for once, which is a nice change from the texture we’re used to from Disney desserts. The cake’s base actually adds a slight ginger flavor instead of just being there for show, and is also dyed blue.

The next layer is a subtle thin layer of chocolate ganache with a moist layer of chocolate cake on top. The white chocolate also works well for the design and flavor here.

Overall this cake was enjoyable to snack on, and gets us more even excited for Stitch Day on 6/26.

Love this! Will they stick around for the summer? My stitch loving kid has her birthday at Disney in July.
