Welcome to another beautiful Saturday at the Universal Orlando Resort. We arrived late in the day and found many guests ready to enjoy a relaxing evening in the parks. Before heading into the parks, we did a little shopping around CityWalk and found quite a bit of new merchandise. Let’s check it out.
We’ve seen some really nice Wizarding World of Harry Potter bags and accessories arrive lately, and now there’s a new collection of Deathly Hallows items. You can see more photos and pricing in our post here.
This T-Rex mug will make a fine addition to our collection. The handle is even a Jurassic World arch.
More retro merchandise has also hit the shelves. A new crop top and men’s tank top are now available. The crop top is $30, and the tank is $27.
Making our way towards Universal Studios Florida, we could see the Olympic rings on display in front of the arch. The Rings Across America Tour made a brief stop here at Universal Orlando, giving guests the opportunity to get some great photos with the giant rings. Unfortunately, this was the last day they would be on display here. There are still a lot of great ways to celebrate the Olympics, including food booths and a pre-show before the Cinematic Celebration.
There were some barricades set up around a corner in San Francisco, near the exit of Fast and Furious: Supercharged. It looks like they might just be doing some repairs around the area.
It’s a busy Saturday night, but the wait times for attractions aren’t bad.
Let’s get out of here and check out what’s happening at Islands of Adventure.
The weather was perfect for a night out. Islands of Adventure felt even busier than Universal Studios Florida.
We’ve been hearing there could be a Halloween store opening in the Lost Continent sometime soon. Until then, it makes a great place to take a nap.
The VelociCoaster lithographs are available inside Jurassic Outfitters now. They’ve been selling out quickly, so grab them when you see them!
If you haven’t had a chance to ride VelociCoaster at night, we highly encourage it! It’s a completely different experience in the dark.
It’s nice having the parks open later during the summer. The parks always look better after dark!
Thanks for joining us today around the Universal Orlando Resort. We’re gonna get out of here and take a ride on the VelociCoaster, but be sure to keep following Universal Parks News Today for even more updates from the parks.
