While “Canada Far and Wide” in the Canada Pavilion recently closed, that doesn’t mean the pavilion is dormant. In fact, two retail locations just reopened. Northwest Mercantile and Trading Post Refreshments are open for the first time in nearly eighteen months.
Northwest Mercantile
The retail location sells a variety of Canadian products and themed items.

The rustic exterior is decorated with saws, shovels, snowshoes, skis, and other gear needed to survive in the Canadian wilderness.

The interior is rustic, with exposed log beams.

More camping gear is displayed below and in the rafters.

There isn’t much Disney merchandise inside Northwest Mercantile. Rather, the items reflect Canada, such as these ice hockey shirts.

A colorful collection of camping-themed clothing is available.

Canadian-made items, like soap, are also available.

The store has a lot of buffalo plaid clothing, as well as bear and moose items.

Unique lanterns illuminate this hallway leading to Trading Post Refreshments.
Trading Post Refreshments

Although it is connected to Northwest Mercantile, Trading Post Refreshments has a dedicated entrance as well.

Indigenous artwork is displayed outside and in.

This is a great place to grab a cool drink on a hot day.

A selection of Canadian beer, ice wine, and wine is available. Non-alcoholic beverages are also sold.
