PHOTOS: Themed Scrim Now Up During Facade Refurbishments in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park

Earlier this week we reported on the facades now being covered with tarps as refurbishments are underway in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park. We specifically mentioned how the scrim was a basic color and un-themed, even allowing views into the work being done behind the scenes from the sunlight casting shadows. It seems Disney has listened and replaced these tarps with new, themed scrim for the area.

Now, different colored striped-patterned scrim decorates the area while construction is occurring.

Also featured on the scrim are pieces of artwork that fit the theme of the area.

You can find these poster-like ads for musicians, beignets, and Rue Royal.

This certainly fits the area a lot better than the previous tarps.

  1. I hope it’s the Princess and the Frog attraction!!! That way Splash Mountain can stay as it is!! Save Splash Mountain!! It deserves to be a part of Disney as well as any other attraction!!

  2. Do you know how long the refurbishment is going to take or how long the scrims are going to be up?
