Universal Orlando Resort Hosting Family and Friends of Team USA Athletes During Tokyo Olympics

Universal Orlando Resort will be hosting family and friends of Team USA athletes during the Tokyo Olympics.

Due to Tokyo’s current State of Emergency, spectators will not be allowed in-person at the Olympics. Universal Orlando Resort, NBC, the U.S. Olympic Committee, and two other sponsors are offering each Team USA athlete plane tickets and four days of accommodations for two family or friends. The supporters will be able to visit an NBC/Team USA hospitality lounge to watch the games, as well as for dinner.

WESH 2 News spoke to Christina Dressel, mother of US swimmer Caleb Dressel, who said about forty members of her extended family are renting a house in Orlando, but she will be taking advantage of the hospitality lounge.

“I’m getting all my red, white, and blue stuff, and family is flying in, and we are ready to cheer him on Team USA,” Dressel said.
