Disney has confirmed our report that Boma – Flavors of Africa will be the first buffet to return to Walt Disney World when it reopens on August 20.
Buffets were closed due to health and safety procedures when Walt Disney World reopened in July 2020 during the pandemic. Restaurants such as Tusker House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom reopened with family-style dining instead of the traditional buffet. Now, buffets are beginning to return.
Are you excited to dine at a buffet again, or did you prefer the switch to family-style? Let us know in the comments below.

are they saying when reservations will begin?
We shall see! Given that O’hana is undoing the awful menu revamp, this might be good, possibly.
We are so excited to hear Boma will be back with a buffet! It is our favorite meal at Disneyworld.
I like buffets more myself. Being able to select whatever you want is always nicer than having food that you may or may not want on your plate.
I hate wasting food, but there’s always food left on the platter when we have family style, we don’t waste our food when we get it ourselves.
SO EXCITED!
DISNEY IS DOING THE BUFFET AT BOMA, CAUSE THEY HAVE RUINED CAPE MAY, TRAILS END, OHANA, AND ALL THE OTHERS.
