Before Magic Kingdom turns 50 on October 1, 2021, the park is being spruced up. We saw pavement replacement in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland earlier this year. Now Adventureland and Frontierland are being refurbished.
In Adventureland, jungle green pavement is overtaking the grey.
This is what the pavement looked like back when the park first opened.
The green is currently between Enchanted Tiki Room and Jungle Cruise.
Heading into Frontierland, scrim has been removed from around this building, which houses Pecos Bill seating.
Though the scrim is gone, we couldn’t find anything new on the façade.
Construction walls remain at the main entrance to Pecos Bill.
As we saw yesterday, new stonework is being laid atop the concrete outside the front door.
The stonework now covers most of the concrete.
There are still a few gaps near the columns at the edge of the walkway.
New brickwork was also laid in front of this side door.
Next to Country Bear Jamboree, a new stone wall was recently erected.
Now the gap next to the stone wall has been filled with fresh pink pavement.
It’s a much darker color than the old pavement as it hasn’t had time to dry and fade.
The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade is also getting a new boardwalk.
Several new planks were placed since yesterday.
It looks like this construction will be done quickly.
More planks are staged on the ramp.
