After undergoing a refurbishment that started in June, Big Top Souvenirs has reopened at the Magic Kingdom. The Storybook Circus retail location has been closed since March 2020. The store cut back on merchandise, using the extra space to add an indoor seating area. Let’s take a look.
Big Top Souvenirs is located to the left, just beyond the Storybook Circus entrance.
Centered beneath the circus tent is Big Top Treats.
Big Top Treats is a great place to grab some circus snacks.
Tables have been added near Big Top Treats. Guests can use the area to enjoy the treats or to take a break.
Most of the tables were filled during our visit.
The circus-themed tables are the same as those used inside Pete’s Silly Sideshow when it was a Relaxation Station.
The seating area is bordered by circus train car displays. Red curtains cover the shelves as merchandise has been removed.
The checkout area is also themed like circus train cars.
Numerous merchandise displays have been removed from the store.
The merchandise that remains includes snacks, pins, ear hats and headbands, and towels.

Terrible idea, who ever thought of this should be fired, just terrible. People will just be camping out at the tables for hours now.
Bring back the merchandise.
Disney always makes things more generic and blah with stores.
Another Disney world blunder rehab. My gosh 18 months closed and they just put tables in for rehab. Who makes these horrible decisions
I don’t know how I feel about this. I loved Big Top for the snacks and cake pops especially. But it was a great place to get some items and always seemed to be less crowded than the Emporium. I like the tables, but hopefully more merchandise will be added back to the circus car shelves once things calm down.
No more clever themed carpet? Sigh.
I’m so happy to see Big Top Souvenirs again!! Especially after that fire a few years ago!! And I love the table and chairs!! Another thing I wish they would save is Splash Mountain!! Please Save Splash Mountain!! Expand the park and add a Princess and the Frog attraction!!
