It looks like Big Top Souvenirs is preparing to reopen in Storybook Circus at Magic Kingdom, after being closed since March 2020. In June, the store’s sign was removed for refurbishment, and now the tent building is surrounded by planters to obscure the view of any work being done.

Guests will notice the colorful planters as soon as they enter Storybook Circus.

The trees completely block the view of Big Top’s main entrance.

Around the corner, crew members in a cherry-picker were near the building’s roof.

More planters surround the courtyard outside of Pete’s Silly Sideshow, which acted as a Relaxation Station in the past year.

There’s still no news on when character meet-and-greets may return to Pete’s Silly Sideshow, but the building and surrounding area could be used for upcoming events as well. Halloween and Christmas characters have previously appeared in the covered area adjacent to the tent.

  1. They’re painting the tent and prepping the area for the 50th. They’re also putting the marquee back. I’m not sure if they’re opening yet though. We haven’t heard anything on that yet.
