Reservations Now Available for Mears Connect at Orlando International Airport, Replacing Magical Express Service

As was announced earlier this year, Mears Connect will begin offering bus transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport and Walt Disney World area hotels on January 1, 2022, after Disney’s Magical Express retires. Reservations are now open at MearsConnect.com.

There are two service options: Standard and Premium.

The Standard level of service is a shared ride service on a Mears Connect (bus or van) that is economical as the fare includes all tolls and other surcharges. The Connection will make a limited number of stops and will have you on your way to your resort within 20 minutes of your check-in to the Mears Connect reception area.

The Premium (or Express) level of service is a direct service with limited to no wait time. This service includes all tolls and other surcharges.

Both standard and express service levels incorporate all current city, county, state, federal, and CDC health and safety measures. Both standard and express service levels will also provide your party with continuously clean, sanitized vehicles. Both are wheelchair accessible.

At the airport, guests will board Mears Connect on the B side, level 1 (ground transportation level). Follow signs to Mears Connect to find the reception area.

Pricing may vary depending on date, number of guests, and hotel, but a one-way trip starts at $16 for adults and $13.50 for children with standard service. A round trip with premium service is $200 for up to four passengers.

  1. Does this include luggage service like Magical Express, or do you have to go to baggage claim and claim baggage, and then proceed to Mears Connect? Since it didn’t mention it in article it’s probably the later.

    • Yep – came to the site hoping for information about baggage – a huge perk. Given that there’s no specifics yet, fearful that we will be off flight, wrestling bags, on bus, off bus, wrestling bags again and checking into room. Not worth the price if that’s going to be the set up (not to mention possibly removing the perk of dropping backs at bell the day you leave already checked for the flight.) This was a big “stay on property” perk. Totally underappreciated – until it’s gone.

  2. Thanks Disney for ruining the magic that made you different and special. Now just overpriced and average.

  3. first i would like to thank mears for being so affordable. second i would like to shame disney for taking yet another perk from those visiting their parks. the nickel and diming from d minus amaro and chapek has gone beyond rediculous.

  4. The Magical Express added to the magical experience. Apparently that doesn’t fit in with the Disney way anymore.
