REVIEW: Breakfast (with Character) Returns to Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom and It’s What You Would Expect

Cinderella’s Royal Table reopened for lunch and dinner last fall, but only now has breakfast service returned. Guests can once again start their day inside the iconic Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom with a meal fit for a princess.

Before Magic Kingdom officially opened for the day, Cast Members in the hub were directing guests to check-in for breakfast.

We checked in with other Cast Members right in front of Cinderella Castle. After “rope drop”, guests can go directly to the entrance of Cinderella’s Royal Table behind the castle to check-in.

Breakfast is served from 8:15 AM to 10:15 AM.

Guests may wait briefly in a foyer before being led upstairs to the restaurant.

The restaurant looks just like you would expect the inside of a castle to look, with tall windows, archways, and stained glass.

Breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table includes a beverage, pastry plate, and one entrée per person. Pricing is $42 per adult and $27 per child. Specialty cocktails are available for extra.

Cinderella’s Appearance

cinderellas-royal-table-3-2

As with lunch and dinner, Cinderella occasionally makes appearances to wave at guests and pose for photos. A sign upon entering warns guests to have their cameras ready and remain seated.

Cinderella does not walk through the dining room and remains physically distanced

Pricing was lowered due to the lack of full princess dining. Breakfast was previously $62 per adult.

The Royal Breakfast Flight – $14

Mimosa with Paul Cheneau Lady of Spain Cava and Orange Juice | Canella Bellini Sparkling Peach Cocktail | Opici Family Selection Sangria

The mimosa and bellini are nothing special, but they will hit the spot if that’s what you are in the mood for. However, we didn’t taste peach in the bellini.

The sangria is awful. It’s too watered down, so just tastes like juice with water.

Pastry Plate

The pastry plate is great. There’s a nice buttery flaky croissant and a sweet chocolate croissant that leaves a bit of a mess.

The blueberry Mickey muffin was moist and delicious.

Entrées Royale

Shrimp and Grits

Smoked Gouda Cheese Grits, Tomato Jam, Fried Egg, Buttered Shrimp, and Garlic Baguette

The shrimp and grits weren’t great. The shrimp lacked much flavor and had a rubbery consistency. The grits have a strong cheddar flavor and tasted over-salted. The bread was the best part. It was toasted and buttery for a nice accompaniment.

Baked Quiche

Goat Cheese, Spinach, and Mushroom Quiche with a dollop of Goat Cheese Cream served with Arugula and Roasted Bell Peppers

Beef Tenderloin and Egg

Potatoes and Cheese Frittata with Broccolini, Boursin® Cheese Sauce, and Chive Oil

The broccolini was under-steamed and way too crunchy.

The beef tenderloin is perfectly tender and was cooked to our requested medium rare. It has a nice charred exterior.

This quiche underneath was the saltiest thing we’ve ever eaten. It may just be a pile of salted eggs. No other taste is discernible.

Overall

The price point is terrible for the mediocre food. But if you or your family want to eat in the castle and see Cinderella, the price is irrelevant and you’ll always remember the experience of dining here.
