REVIEW: Sweet Poison Cocktail is Pretty Yet Simple at Sunshine Day Bar in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

In case you haven’t read our reviews yet, a lot of Halloween-themed food debuted today at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And after all those sweets, we desperately needed something to wash it down. Thankfully, Sunshine Day Bar had us covered with the Sweet Poison cocktail!

Sweet Poison – $16.00

Parrot Bay coconut rum, Bacardi superior rum, Bols blue curacao, and pineapple juice

This aqua-colored drink is made with coconut rum, blue curaçao beverage syrup, Bacardi Silver, and pineapple juice. You can also find this at Oasis Canteen and the Animation Bar.

It certainly takes a nice picture for those who like photographing their refreshments before enjoying them.

It came garnished with a lemon slice to give it an injection of color.

Given that this was the first day it was being offered, Cast Members were still making adjustments. While we were charged $13.00, our server wasn’t entirely sure of the price, as it wasn’t listed yet at the register (so be sure to ask for it by name for now). And not long after we were served, they then told us it came with a glow cube to continue the eerie vibe.

Still, for all of the issues, it’s a decent, simple drink. It’s not overwhelmingly strong, but flavor-wise, it’s a basic rum and pineapple made spooky for the season.

The blue curaçao adds a hint of sweetness and a cool color to the drink, but otherwise, it’s just fine. And given the luck we’ve had trying all of the Halloween offerings, we’ll take “fine” as a win.
