CONCEPT ART: Space 220 Restaurant Coming to EPCOT Launches Website, Releases New Concept Art for Space Elevator

Space 220 Restaurant is finally opening on September 20, and Patina Group, who manages the new venue, has launched a website that features a new piece of concept art depicting the space elevator.

The elevator is part of the story of the unique restaurant. Guests are “transported” 220 miles above Earth to dine in space.

Previously released concept art, as pictured above, depicts the inside of the elevator. Take a sneak peek inside the restaurant here.

  1. If Patina Group is operating this restaurant do not expect the food to be good at all!
Here at Disneyland they operate what amounts to mediocre to horrible restaurants and sky-high prices.
Recently we went to Tortilla Joe’s and Naples when family was visiting- Both because reservations were available.
Service was good at both, but the food – That’s another thing.

Several of us commented that Tortilla Joe’s was maybe one step above Taco Bell and at best no better than the average low-end chain Mexican restaurants. Margaritas were very good though.

Naples was just plain awful, and really “plain” is the operative word! When a 10-year is saying their pasta needs salt and has little flavor that tells you everything!
The Chicken Parm dish was a disaster! You could tell the breaded chicken was a frozen product (my brother and I both had it, and the shape of the “chicken” was identical!) It came with maybe 3oz of watery spaghetti and the cheese on the chicken had already congealed by the time we got it- All for about $26.
I asked for extra parm cheese… And your know what I got? Those little packets of 1-year old pre-grated sawdust cheese – The exact same brand that Little Caesars uses!
Our total bill for two adults and two kids was $189, and that was with my Legacy Pass discount!

Oh yes… A complaint email resulted in no response!

And for those of you who go to the restaurant at the Italy pavilion at Epcot you know what I mean (same menu!). That was once a wonderful top-end when it was Alfredo’s – Then Patina destroyed it!

      • These are “popular” because of their locations, But that doesn’t mean the food is top notch. In fact the food is just ok. Not at the level of the prices they charge for sure. Patina group restaraunts are just mediocre chain style food at best. Think Applebee’s, Olive garden, outback etc. Just dressed up to look expensive with the prices to match.

  2. I’m still waiting what will be on the menu. It’s opening very soon, and usually Disney will say what will be served, but so far it’s supposed to be modern cuisine.

  3. I said it when it was announced and I will say it again, this place should have been called Mission Plate :p
