They are the resort’s road entrance, so guests will see the banners when they drive up.
Each park has had slightly different banners to match that park’s theming. We would guess hotels will all be getting these same banners, which have plain gold on the top and bottom, and an EARidescent rainbow behind the “50”.

A large banner also hung above the main entrance to the resort.
50th-anniversary banners also greeted us as we drove into Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

We got a closer look at the resort banners as we walked from the parking lot to the hotel.
If you look closely, you can see the banners sparkling.
We also spotted banners at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside reopens on October 14, but its banners are currently being installed as well.
We expect to see more of these banners appear at other Walt Disney World Resort hotels in the coming weeks.
