The refurbishment of the Frontierland boardwalk seems to be entering the home stretch at the Magic Kingdom.

Over at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, the construction walls have been removed, revealing the final results of the refurbishment.

With the tile fully grouted, the porch near the entrance has a clean yet earthy look.

With work complete, the hitching posts have been put back in place.

Outside Country Bear Jamboree, wooden planks are starting to be laid down on a new gridded framework.

Some of the planks still need to be cut to fit onto the framework, as evidenced by the above photo.

The walls have also come down at the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade.

Currently, the attraction remains closed, and the guns have been removed.

Meanwhile, the boards have a “lived-in” look that adds to the theme of the land.

It’s likely that the boards seen here are eventually what the ones outside Country Bear Jamboree will look like.

The look extends to the far end of the arcade, leading to the accessibility ramp.

All in all, the refurbishment seems to be nearly complete, with the final stages well in progress.

  1. I wish the shootin arcade would return. But with Disney lately, who knows. I still have pirate toy guns from when I was a kid from outside Pirates. You can’t find those in the park anymore…..my kids play with them now and used them as part of their Halloween costumes last year when they were pirates.
