With Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary just weeks away, the clock on Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom has received a golden makeover ahead of the big day.

The clock is now rendered in an “Ear-idescent” gold, with special 50th anniversary banners hanging off of it.

The top of the clock has a special 50 to mark the special occasion.

The banners indicated that Citizen, as part of its ongoing sponsorship, is the official timepiece of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration.

  1. I can’t believe they did that to the clock. It’s going to take a hell of a lot of chemicals to get all that cheap paint off. That is not antiquing, that is shading or shadowing. I know a Furniture Medic that would do it properly for $1,000. Fix it, it looks cheap😢
Hi Matthew, it looks like you love The Muppets as much as I do! I found out yesterday that they’re not letting Frank Oz on board for the new Muppets project. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Is there any way you could campaign for Frank Oz to be involved? Thank you for letting me vent.✌

  2. Ironic that the only “citizen” you’ll now see on Main St is the sponsor of this clock. So much for streetmosphere. Even the “Citizens” have to pay to be there… typical Disney.
