We’re just weeks away from the debut at Disney KiteTails at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and work seems to be moving along to set the stage for this new daytime spectacular.
Since our last visit, a new dock has seemingly been completed, with work already underway to install show elements.
Right now, metal frameworks of varying sizes have been erected. Two large frames are on the widest part of the dock, with five smaller ones installed to the right.
We also now know that the poles we spotted in the water last time were actually anchors for the dock. Mystery solved!
Each framework is of a different size and shape, and their purposes currently unknown. It’s possible that this is the start of the construction of a corral for the large assortment of kites the show will use. With the show opening soon, we’ll know soon enough.
Of course, if you want a sneak “beak” (that’s a Zazu pun) of the show, be sure to check out our look at some of the characters and kites that’ll be featured as part of Disney KiteTails when it opens October 1st!
