Two weeks ago, we told you that Disney confirmed the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction would open next year. Now, we are getting a look at the construction progress of Disney’s first reverse launch roller coaster.
There hasn’t been much change to the site in World Discovery since our last update. The area immediately in front of the Wonders of Xandar pavilion appears to be ready for the installation of the Xandarian ship that will be there.
On the far side of the pavilion from the monorail, a row of palm trees lines a walkway just to the right of the pavilion. Further to the right, the walkways have been cleaned up, but crews are seen laying down tarps.
Other parts of the area outside the pavilion are still in need of landscaping work. The sixth row of roofing panels is still not complete. Work on that row of panels began two weeks ago.
Below is a look at what the area will look like when it opens next year.
