Landscaping is underway outside Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, which is officially set to open next year in the newly renamed Wonders of Xandar pavilion.
Crew members were planting trees on the other side of the pavilion from the Monorail.
Some boxes line the courtyard directly in front of the pavilion, where the Xandarian ship will eventually be installed. There are poles up around the ship’s future spot, likely for ropes or other fencing.
A line of new palm trees were across from the courtyard, in what is otherwise a dirt plot right now.
Though there is still a lot of landscaping to be done, the area has been cleaned up a lot in the past few months.

I think it is a good sign. I have seen with some projects that landscaping is one of the last things they do as evidenced by the Polynesian refurbishment.
