Two new platforms have been added to the stage in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom.
We saw the platforms as characters welcomed us to the park this morning.
There were previously platforms in these same locations, but they were removed while the stage floor was replaced. The platforms were not used during today’s welcome show.
The new platforms do not have the golden arches and rails that the previous platforms had (at least, not yet).
The righthand platform is also not as tall as the previous platform was.
Both platforms have stairs leading up to them for performers.
There are holes on the edges of the steps for a future railing to be installed.
A small piece of scrim covers an access panel to the underside of the stage.
This applies to both platforms.
There is a small round piece near the edge of this platform, possibly for a future piece to be installed.
More scrim covers another section of the platform.
There are stairs on both sides of the left platform.
And more holes for railings or decorations near the front.

new platforms have been added to the castle stage..? this can only mean one thing: Walt Disney World must be making an all new castle show!!
i wonder if the new stage platforms will be used for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular show or they’ll bring a new Disney Villains themed Halloween castle stage show for Halloween 2022.
