Even though Halloween is still days away, Disney California Adventure has already begun to “haul out the holly,” so to speak.
The installation of Christmas decorations has already begun around the park, with the latest efforts focused on two lands. At Pacific Wharf, lights have been strung from the rooftops, adding a colorful charm to the industrial area for the season.
Three of the land’s restaurants now have themed garlands above their entrances. Red and gold ornaments hang at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. The ornaments evoke the colors of their famed chocolate wrappers.
Pacific Wharf Café has a garland festooned with rolls and sourdough bread, a perfect addition to the bakery.
Over at Lucky Fortune Cookery, there are decorations themed to Chinese food takeout boxes and fortune cookies.
There’s a “¡Viva Navidad!” feeling at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill, where a gold garland is decorated with ornaments reminiscent of traditional Mexican Christmas decorations, including poinsettia stars (the silver star-shaped objects) and flower petals.
Meanwhile, over in Grizzly Peak by the entrance to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, some of the lampposts have received oar-themed decorations evocative of Grizzly River Run.
Last week, the land got its first decorations, as lights were strung from the pine trees near Grizzly Peak Airfield.
It’s beginning to look like a jolly holiday over at Disney California Adventure!
