REVIEW: 50th Anniversary Wonderful World of Roast Beef Hash is Not So Wonderful at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, guests can get a new Walt-inspired meal in honor of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. This Wonderful World of Roast Beef Hash is available at Capt. Cook’s and Kona Island.

Wonderful World of Roast Beef Hash – $9.99

Hearty hash of roast beef, potatoes, and onion with a fried egg nestled on top to make it just the way Walt would have it

We did our best to get some yolk out but our egg was thoroughly cooked. The roast had a nice flavor but was slightly dry without the help of the egg yolk.

The potatoes were coated in oil and way too greasy. They were almost inedible.

The orange was also dry. We enjoyed the cherry.

Had the concept of the hash actually come to fruition, we think it could have been really good.

Unfortunately, this is a pass from us.

Wow. That’s one dry meal. Over cooked egg, hash that probably sat under a heating element too long, but how do you achieve a dry orange? I’m guessing the orange was not the seasonal Florida orange.
