REVIEW: The 50th Anniversary Tiramisu at Primo Piatto in Disney’s Riviera Resort is Perfectly Plain

Guests at Disney’s Riviera Resort have recently been treated to some new merchandise to commemorate their visit, and now, thanks to Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, they can also try a new treat as well at Primo Piatto.

50th Anniversary Tiramisu – $5.99

The packaging is simple with nothing to note the 50th Anniversary, at least from the outside.

Upon opening the packaging, guests can see the 50th milk chocolate medallion on top of the rich-looking dessert.

This is a classic tiramisu. While it tastes nice and rich, there is nothing special or “Anniversary-worthy” about it beyond the chocolate medallion that can be found on practically every cupcake and dessert offering.

The whipped topping is sweet, while the smooth cake on the bottom helps to mellow some of the overt sugary taste of the top layer. While the description says it contains alcohol, we didn’t taste it at all.

Overall, we think this makes a fine quick snack or dessert, but if you’re looking for a special treat for the 50th anniversary, there are many better options. For a simple but celebratory cupcake, head to Le Petit Café at Disney’s Riviera Resort, or for something a little more special, pick up the Mickey Mousse Dome Cake from Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
