Universal Theme Parks Report Most Profitable Quarter Since Q1 2020

Comcast, the company behind NBCUniversal, has released its third-quarter earnings report.

Journalist Ashley Carter shared the theme park results on Twitter this morning.

Universal theme parks have shown significant growth from 2020 to 2021. This was particularly driven by Universal Orlando Resort.

Regarding the theme park division, Comcast CFO Mike Cavanaugh stated, “We are encouraged by the continued recovery, but getting back to and then exceeding pre-pandemic levels of EBITDA [Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization] will likely require the improvements of international visitation.”

The CDC recently announced eased travel restrictions to the United States would start November 8, 2021.
