At Destination D23, we learned more details of the story behind the new Star Wars hotel at Walt Disney World, Stars Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
Just a couple of days ago, we learned about the six new characters that will be aboard Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
During the World Building for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser panel at Destination D23 today, even more details about these new characters and storylines were revealed.
Captain Riyola Keevan has a secret up her sleeve. She has worked for Chandrila Star Lines for about 30 years aboard the Halcyon and saw an opportunity in the ship’s manifest and large cargo hold. Emboldened by an encounter with Leia Organa to take a larger role in the Resistance, she turned the ship into a “rum runner” to pull off missions.
From the moment that guests go aboard the Starcruiser, the First Order will be there, keeping tabs on the new guests. Lieutenant Croy boards the Halcyon almost immediately at the start of the journey. He is on a mission to interrogate every guest, crew member, and droid aboard the Halcyon to discover its link to the Resistance.
Sk620 loves the passengers and may be found leading a conga line with some of the younglings. His databank, though, is full of Resistance secrets. His partner, Lenka, the Cruise Director, must try to keep him safe.
We also learned that Sammie, a mechanic from Han Solo’s homeworld of Corellia, is actually trying to get to the Resistance on Batuu. He was a wrench turner on Corellia and found a job aboard the Halcyon to try to join up with the Resistance, but it was alluded to that he may be more helpful aboard the ship.
We learned that Gaya, the Galactic Superstar, is from the planet Ryloth, the Twi’lek homeworld. She’s actually aboard the Halcyon searching for Coaxium to save her home planet. You may remember trying to get Coaxium if you’ve ever ridden Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
