In January 2022, the former AMC Theater will be removed, and a whole new area will be built. This open, grassy area will provide a space for guests to relax as well as an area for some events that will be held in Downtown Disney.

Disney Parks Experiences and Products President Josh D’Amaro also mentioned that the shopping and dining in the area will be revitalized. Three current venues will close in January 2022 as part of the project.

  1. Its Disney Springs now, it was renamed a few years ago. More interesting is the concept art which shows the monorail, which currently does not go to Disney Springs, you have to take a resort bus which can easily be a half hour commute. I was once even on a bus for over an hour due, and it was freezing the whole time.
