PHOTOS: Spaceship Earth Lit in Blue in Celebration of Disney+ Day at EPCOT

Today if you may not have heard was Disney+ Day, and there were plenty of celebrations both in and out of Walt Disney World, from special character sightings to tons of new content announcements. This evening in celebration, Spaceship Earth was lit blue in lieu of its traditional Beacon of Magic to celebrate Disney+ Day.

The iconic sphere was lit top to bottom in a dark blue similar to Disney+’s colors cheme. White lights accented on occasion and were blue at other times.

The pylons remained reddish orange, but the fountain around was all blue.

The lighting package extended down even to the base, although Gateway Gifts remained lit as normal.

This limited look was of course only for tonight, and we expect Spaceship Earth to be lit in its normal Beacon of Magic look again tomorrow. What do you think of this lighting package? Let us know in the comments below.
