While it may seem like only yesterday that a new baby white rhino was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, that’s because there was one born just 5 days ago. Back in September, however, another white rhino was born – and he’s now celebrating his 2-month birthday and has officially been named!
Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science & Environment, shared footage of the white rhino—now officially known as Mylo—on his Instagram page.
Mylo, now two months old, weighs 288 pounds, gaining over 100 pounds in just the last month.
Mylo is still spending time backstage with his mother Jao, but should make his debut to Disney’s Animal Kingdom guests soon. He was the second of three white rhinos born in the last 13 months, with Ranger having been the first back in October of 2020.
