Along with the return of “Fantasy in the Sky” to the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT will also hold its first New Year’s fireworks spectacular since 2019, with a special “New Year’s Countdown Fireworks”!
The show will run at 11:54pm only on New Year’s Eve, unlike “Fantasy in the Sky” which will run on both December 30th and 31st.
“Harmonious” will also run at 6:30pm on December 31st.
The change was quietly added to the Walt Disney World website, although no formal announcement has been made from Disney.
This will be the first time EPCOT has run a separate New Year’s countdown fireworks spectacular rather than as a tag to the nighttime spectacular. For nearly twenty years, New Year’s Eve fireworks were part of a tag to “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” as well as for “EPCOT Forever” in 2019.
