More Excavation Underway at Journey of Water Inspired by ‘Moana’ at EPCOT
We don’t know how far we’ll go, but we do know how far along construction is on Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana” at EPCOT. When we last checked in, we noticed some excavation going on near a group of concrete structures.
The excavator has moved out of this area, leaving behind some interconnected trenches.
There are walls, buildings, and smaller squares of concrete around the trenches.
Large pipes can be seen in the ground.
Journey of Water will be a walkthrough attraction with interactive water features.
A digger was clearing land nearby, having already created a flattened semi-circle.

A pile of excavated dirt sat next to it.
Behind some orange netting we could see more walls and pipes in the ground. It looks like the walls will create another small building.
Past a corrugated metal wall is another concrete structure. Crew members were working on the ground next to it to last week, and a rectangular plot has been cordoned off with short walls.
Beyond that structure, we saw crew members on a ladder working on the first building that was constructed for the attraction.
