According to The Information, a source involved in the talks stated that Disney is considering launching a cheaper version of their Disney+ streaming service with ads in the US.
The new tier of streaming service could help Disney reach their goal of making their direct-to-consumer sector profitable by 2024.
The insider didn’t provide details on the cost of the platform with ads.
Many other streaming services (Hulu, Peacock, etc.) offer a cheaper monthly subscription with ads.
