Disney Considering Launch of Ad-Supported Cheaper Version of Disney+ in the US

According to The Information, a source involved in the talks stated that Disney is considering launching a cheaper version of their Disney+ streaming service with ads in the US.

The new tier of streaming service could help Disney reach their goal of making their direct-to-consumer sector profitable by 2024.

The insider didn’t provide details on the cost of the platform with ads.

Many other streaming services (Hulu, Peacock, etc.) offer a cheaper monthly subscription with ads.

Would you subscribe to Disney+ if they offered a cheaper option with advertisements? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I’d pay for an ad-free version of WDWNT :) so I’d probably keep the higher Disney+ tier.
