Housekeeping Returning to Pre-Pandemic Schedule at Select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Housekeeping services at Walt Disney World Resort hotels are returning to their original schedule from prior to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. This means Cast Members will clean the rooms more often.

Housekeeping includes making the bed, fully cleaning the bathroom, wiping down all surfaces, replacing amenities as needed, vacuuming, and dusting every other day. The cleaning schedule of Disney Vacation Club resort rooms has not changed. Disney Vacation Club members can purchase additional cleaning services.

This will begin at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Old Key West Resort, and Saratoga Springs Resort on March 20, 2022. It has already begun at the following resorts:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Disney’s Boardwalk Resort
  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
  • Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts

  1. It’s a sad day when you are easily spending north of $1,000 per night for a room at some of the Deluxes, let alone a suite and daily housekeeping is considered something special. Glad I am done with the domestic Disney resort hotels. No value for price paid. They used to treat you well, now they have prison style soap dispensers in bathroom and have curtailed every offering. Can’t even spend for the orchestra at the Grand Floridian anymore. I am done.
